CarbonTool 2.0: Smarter ESG, Wider Reach

CarbonTool has just launched version 2.0, delivering its most significant platform upgrade to date. The new release introduces a full ESG management module aligned with GRI, CSRD, and VSME standards, plus AI-powered data uploads, custom KPIs, dual-view emissions dashboards and localized emission tracking.
Users can now visualize raw consumption data (like kWh or liters) side by side with COâ‚‚e, group similar sources for easier reporting, and attach files or comments directly within the tool for full audit traceability. All of this comes in a more intuitive, multilingual interface that adapts to regional needs.
This major product evolution is matched by a geographic one: CarbonTool is now available in Ukraine, Turkey, Cyprus and the Middle East. The expansion strengthens its presence across the EMEA region and supports the company’s mission to drive large-scale decarbonization, especially in the real estate sector, where Scope 1 and 2 emissions remain substantial.
“Our expansion positions CarbonTool as a key catalyst for climate action,” said Răzvan Nica, CEO of CarbonTool. “This growth reflects both our synergy with BuildGreen and our response to a changing ESG landscape, where real estate professionals need precision tools to meet ambitious carbon goals.”
CarbonTool’s updated platform is built for this new era. Some of the standout features include:
- Integrated ESG Module: Track progress, ownership, and data consolidation across ESG categories, fully aligned with key reporting frameworks. Find out more.

To date, CarbonTool has been used in over 900 projects across 27 countries, tracking more than 6.2 million tons of COâ‚‚e and helping reduce over 1.2 million tons. As the industry shifts toward carbon-centered performance metrics (as seen in LEED v5), CarbonTool is ready to lead.
